Caught this today. Made me want to go to Shirley's Wikipedia and was stunned about how amazing her career was. Also a nice picture of her with Nancy Reagan. Arguably the greatest entertaining career of any female in history!
Only female with both an acting Oscar AND a #1 Billboard hit!
Completely in love with her in the film role from Oklahoma.

She was a cutie in Oklahoma, and didn’t she also star in “Carousel”?

Sad for her. “He died in the Tarzana neighborhood” must have meant he was at Tarzana hospital. Strange wording. Lord bless Shirley and her boys.

Tarzana /tɑrˈzænə/ is an affluent, highly educated neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles, California. Tarzana is a mostly residential community on the site of a former ranch owned by author Edgar Rice Burroughs. It is named after Burroughs' storybook jungle character hero, Tarzan.

Know all about Tarzana. Used to find horseshoes from Burrough’s enormous ranch as a kid.
Shirley/Engels live in Encino. Which means “White Oak” in the native Indian dialect.

Completely in love with her in the film role from Oklahoma.I think she is somehow overlooked as being the great talent that she is; and in her prime, stunningly attractive. BTW, Oklahoma looks great restored to its Todd AO glory on Blu-ray.
The article mentions Ingels' relentless pursuit of Shirley. I remember watching her story on Biography and thought his pursuit bordered on stalking. I guess it paid off, though.
