Police: Handyman arrested in couple's killing, stole cash

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A handyman kidnapped and strangled a couple he worked for and stole tens of thousands of dollars from a safe in their home, Baton Rouge police said Wednesday.

He killed a 71 and 70 year old. I hope he enjoys his time on death row at Angola. No A/C on death row there and it's HOT.

I sat in their electric chair when I was 7.

I was about 12, and a bit of a Wise Azz, when I sat in one. This was New York City, ca 1945. The State used to send around a trailer truck with The Chair inside, touting it as a "crime display".

Once you walked through, there was a door to a closed off portion of the trailer at the other end. When I opened it, there IT was, waiting for you by the exit - and the cops made you sit in it for a few seconds. Talk about Scared Straight! :-) Those who went through never tipped off the Newbies, wanting them to be scared also.

I thought then that if they put that metal skull cap on me they wouldn't have needed electricity to finish me off.
