That’s an older white neighborhood. Lived near there for 18 years.
But, that was changing when I left in 1989.
I have family in New Orleans. Things are changing there.
House prices along the river are going up, big-time. It’s downright ridiculous, the prices that are being asked for tiny shotgun houses. But it’s high ground. Plus, the neighborhoods there have private security patrols, there are security cameras all over the place, and Obama’s sons are being pushed out into the cheaper suburbs.
I continue to urge my family in Metairie to move across the lake.
