Russia Plans to Escalate Missions in Syria to '300-a-day'
Daily Mail ^ | October 18, 2015 | Jay Akbar

"Russia plans to carry out up to 300 aerial missions over Syria every day and intends to build a new runway to accommodate its warplane, it has been claimed.

This shocking escalation comes as Syrian troops advance on rebel areas in the province of Aleppo, backed up by Russian jets that have been bombing Syria for more than two weeks.

Images taken only today show the destruction caused by Russia's planes in the strategically important village of Al-Hader, just south of Aleppo city, which activists claim is the next target in Syria's ground offensive.

. . .

[Medvedev] claims that President Vladimir Putin told him: 'If we don't destroy these terrorists there, they will come to Russia.'"

My opinion is that back in the USSR days they probably had exactly the same number of lawyers per brigade but they called them political officers. I think what we’re seeing now is Russian military unshackled for once, and that’s why they seem to be so effective.

it is an escalation, indeed

whether it is ‘shocking’ or not depends on the observer

I for one never expected Russia to defend Syria with Obama-style We Are Here To Lose “rules of engagement”

I expected when Russia went in, they’d go in to win

so, the escalation does not shock me one whit

(whether I like everything that’s going down, no... but that is another matter that depends on the observer.. meaning, it, like “shocking,” is not news)

Then there is the TOS-1A Soltsepek (”Blazing Sun”). Though the new launcher carried only 24 rockets, six fewer than before, each 90kg rocket packed more punch using its 73kg predecessors and could be fired out to 6km - roughly double the Buratino’s range - thanks to an updated ballistic computer. If needed, the Soltsepek can unload all 24 of its rounds onto a target in under 12 seconds. In addition to the thermobaric rockets, the Soltsepek was outfitted with a four-barrel smoke grenade launcher that could provide 400 meter-long cover up to 100 meters away. The 3-man crew is also armed with an AKS-74, a full-auto RPKS-74, ten hand grenades and three RPGs. The Soltsepek is powered by a 840 HP V-84MS diesel and can cover up to 550 km at a speed of 60 kmh.

America supports your efforts, Putin. We may not trust you as far as we can throw you but we trust you more than our own president who’s too busy terrorizing his own citizens to worry about stopping terrorism overseas...

The TOS is vunerable due to the rockets short range. They have to get REALLY close to the target.

“I wonder how many Lawyers per Brigade the Russians deploy, as compared to ours?”
The old Commissars were pretty efficient.. Judge, jury and executioner all in one..

Joseph Heller, Jules Verne, Tom Clancy and a couple of other ‘good’ story tellers couldn’t have come up with a better scenario.

In a nutshell, Idiot BO runs around the Middle East stirring the pot, getting us involved deeper, being strangled with idiotic ROE’s..WE claim Alqueda is ‘dead’ but is being replaced with the JV team ISIS or ISIL if you are part of the ‘problem’- the State Department INEPTLY run by hillary clinton, then the equally incompetent john kerry completely foul everything up and on HRC watch an Ambassador and an advance team are killed while the ‘leaders’ of the ‘Free World’ were playing the fiddle While AMB Stephens burned.
WE end up arming the rebels and the loyal troops, ISIS swoops in and steals from both to continue their conquests and continual beheadings elsewhere- so, in effect, we are also arming ISIS.

Putin steps in and starts bombing all 3 sides in Libya, BO and his idiotic Czars and (for the most part) the underachievers are advising him.
Fast forward
Russia will end up with a scorched earth policy and turn Libya into a parking lot and when they drag themselves home, BO will step in and have us rebuild the country he basically maneuvered into being annihilated.

Like Fools before him BO will convince Russia to stop bombing in Libya and pull the troops out. Like when WE convinced Russia to pull out of Afghanistan it only cost us about 50,000 or so Russian Troops fresh from a murderous, backbreaking ‘nowin’ war and they resettle here.

The Russians in US didn’t like it BUT it did serve to bolster up the Russian mob.

We know that ‘group’ got us the brothers the bombed the Boston Marathon -which turned Boston into a combat zone while they geared up and pulled all stops to catch the TWO bombers.

We have sat back and let OUR GOVERNMENT let US be overrun with the dregs of third world society, taking over cities and putting the Italian Mafia to shame. WE the CITIZENS of the UNITED STATES financed and are financing the invasion force that will eventual force us into standing our ground and killing them off BUT they now live next door to us and the old Vietnam saying rings out “Kill them all — God will sort them out”.

Funny thing is BO creates a diversion to put another nail in the gun grabber campaign and again, instead of gathering feathers and tar and pitchforks we ALLOW our Government to refer to US as Terrorists and the ENEMY the ‘Religion of Peace’..

Interesting to see their capabilities. Bombing accuracy appears iffy from what I have seen although the campaign is clearly effective. Large munitions only have to be close - not perfect - to work on ground troops and the unhardened targets.

The peanut gallery comments all seem to focus on the poor Russian economy and how this endeavor may bankrupt them. No way of knowing how much cash Assad has in reserve, but you can bet your bottom dollar that Russia will be paid, or paid back, and get the expanded base they want as well as oil rights out of this deal. Assad is desperate and he will give Putin everything he asks for. We go in and bleed ourselves on our own dime - Vlad won’t make that mistake. Also wondering how much Iran is kicking in to finance this since we have stupidly lifted sanctions.

Psalm 94
A Prayer for Retribution against Oppressors

O Yahweh, God of vengeance,
God of vengeance, shine forth.
2 Rise up, O Judge of the earth.
Repay upon the proud what is their rightful due.
3 How long will the wicked, O Yahweh,
how long will the wicked exult?
4 They gush words[a] unrestrained.
All the evildoers boast.
5 They crush your people, O Yahweh;
they oppress your inheritance.
6 They kill widow and stranger,
and they murder orphans,
7 while they say, “Yah does not see,”
and “The God of Jacob does not pay attention.”
8 You pay attention, O brutes among the people.
And you fools, when you will show insight?
9 Will the one who planted the ear not hear?
Will the one who formed the eye not see?
10 Will the one who instructs nations not rebuke,
the one who teaches humankind knowledge?
11 Yahweh knows the thoughts of humankind,
that they are to no purpose.
12 Blessed is the man, O Yah, whom you instruct
and teach from your law,
13 to give him rest from days of trouble,
until a pit is dug for the wicked.
14 For Yahweh will not abandon his people,
nor forsake his inheritance.
15 For judgment will return to righteousness,
and all the upright in heart will follow after it.
16 Who rose up for me against the wicked?
Who stood up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17 If Yahweh had not been my help,
my soul would soon have dwelt in silence.
18 When I thought, “My foot is slipping,”
your loyal love, O Yahweh, supported me.
19 When my troubled thoughts were many within me,
your consolations cheered my soul.
20 Can there be allied with you a throne of destruction,
one that forms trouble based on statute?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous,
and declare the blameless guilty of blood.
22 But Yahweh has become my high stronghold,
and my God has become my rock of refuge.
23 And he will repay on them their iniquity,
and by their evil he will destroy them.
Yahweh our God will destroy them.

This level of operations can’t be right.

It doesn’t leave time for the troops’ diversity training, anti-sexual harassment training, and LGBT sensitivity training.

Not to mention looking for mythical moderate Muslims and trying to establish “democracy” among people whose fondest desire is to kill their fellow citizens.

"Obama will soon be bringing Syrians into the US by the planeload."

He is already importing about 250,000 Muslims per year, that we know of. It could be more. Plus the ones who come in illegally across the open border with Mexico.

The 100,000 "Syrian refugees" they are talking about for next year are in addition to the other unscreened Muslims.

Obama wants them to fight us over here so they do not have to fight us over there.
