Well, it ends in 2 days, and I haven’t even begun to look for a new computer. So, because I can stay with Win7, I’m not going to take advantage of this.
I may be sorry; but I’m not technically savvy enough to choose that kind of equipment. My guru-nephew lives out of state, and I won’t see him until December .. which leaves me with nobody that I trust to help me make such a decision.
And, I really don’t like the fact that you have to send them your old computer (although I can understand why they would do that .. I have the manuscript to my books on my computer (as well as disc), and I’m very protective of my stuff.

I'm playing with Win10 in a VM but I'm certainly not ready to commit to a Win10-only computer that might not even be able to run Win7 as an alternative. Although as someone else pointed out, one could always run Win7 (or Linux) in a VM and only use the native Win10 to boot up and launch the VM.
I thought the article and offer were interesting enough to post a thread on, but like you say, the timeframe is so short...
