About 20 years ago, someone used the word "holiday" to describe Halloween. I was shocked. Yes, it's a day on the calendar but it certainly isn't a holiday like Christmas or Easter . . . or even Flag Day.

Now, Halloween is the "gay" Christmas. If isn't already by you it will soon be.

Christmas is now (Winter Break), and Easter has become (Spring Break) .... Halloween is candy.

But instead of buying a costume.....it should be mandatory to DIY. Especially if you’re a kid.

There’s 4 times of the year that have been highly commercialized to move product, especially chocolate, only 2 with a real religious connection. Based on warehouse activity, they are (in order)

Christmas
Halloween
Easter
Valentine’s Day

The candy manufacturers are the main beneficiaries of Halloween, not the Devil

Agreed about when I hear Halloween used as a holiday. Another thing that irks me is when people say “Happy Memorial Day.”

It's what is know as an observance. Like Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and The Big Cheese Day. I might have made the last one up. I live in Wisconsin.
