I saw the trailers and thought it was so lame including the acrobatic super size croc. I did not even notice it was a WB production. I thought it was Disney trying to squeeze blood from a stone.

You can’t improve on the classic “Hook.” This is another example of Hollywood being out of ideas and trying to resurrect the former glory of old franchises.

The trailers made it look like another tired CGI yawn-fest. The only good stuff in the movie is probably recycled from previous versions of Peter Pan.

Box Office: How 'Pan' Turned Into an Epic Flop Did it not occur to them that this theme has been done to death? That there have been so many Peter Pan movies that another one was not really a good idea?

I saw it with my teenage daughter over the weekend and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. (Down to the somewhat surreal scene of the lost boys singing what sounded like a Nirvana song. My daughter got the biggest kick out of that. :)
It's a fun and interesting movie that explores the early development and relationships of the Peter Pan story characters that we're otherwise familiar with.
Just an alternate perspective from someone who actually saw the movie. ;)

My wife and I enjoyed it. We’re going to include a bunch of kids this weekend (we always preview, just to be sure!)

If Pan isn’t bad enough, I heard today that they’re remaking Fantasy Island for TV, but this time with a Miss/Ms/Mrs Roark instead.
Must. See. TV.
