The world has been around for millions of years. I cannot imagine a God that would only want to “save” the ones who have been around for a couple of thousand.
On the “life scale” our religions are just a blip.
If it brings her peace, good on her.

She’s actually one of a very few liberals I can tolerate. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day she becomes a Republican. She is left leaning on most issues but I think people can sway her to the other side

She had no choice. There is Catholicism, the one True Church established by Christ and followed for 2000 years by Peter and his successors, and then there’s all the rest under the mid-day sun. Most of these have withered and died.
