As most of you know, Sgt. Martland is a decorated Green Beret who is being thrown out of the army for tuning up an Afghan child rapist.
If the army separates him on a Tuesday morning, I would hope he'd have a solid job offer by that Tuesday afternoon.
First job ... Protect the borderS .... here's the check book
I would’t touch this for an election.
There are arguments on both sides of this guy. Sure we think it’s great that he power slammed a pedofile sodomist. But the military called it vigilantism. I don’t know what legal means he had to prosecute the guy. Or why the tribal leaders weren’t prosecuting the guy.
This is not a major issue for the U.S. And without knowing all the facts, I wouldn’t touch this. Trump should have this reviewed after he is elected and after he tosses the gays out of our military leadership.
I agree. I’m looking for the candidate who will hire him as adviser on military affairs and security issues.
The guy that hires him is my guy.
Martland talked to the elders before he confronted the guy.
Okay, but what was said?
Some conversation in Afghanistan is not what you want to run an election on. I’m sympathetic to the Sgt. But I don’t see where Trump would want to make this a campaign issue.
I like the way you think! That would be great. Only potential problem I see is if there might be some conflict, as a new administration should look at this whole episode as the official cover-up of ongoing war crimes against civilians by one of this administration’s “allies”.
Donald Trump should, after hiring Martland, say: And when I become President, I will have everyone in the DoD who authorized the court-martial of Martland tried for aiding and abetting in children sex slavery and abuse and, upon their convictions, I will have them locked into solitary confinement in federal prison to protect them from the rest of the prison population who would tear them limb from limb.
I agree. Everyone in the chain of command who signed off on his prosecution should themselves be court-martialed. They are what is wrong. They have no place in an American uniform.
