I'll start it off in no certain order:

"Here's looking at you kid." Casablanca
"Make my day". Dirty Harry
"You had me at hello." Jerry Mcquire
"You make me complete." Jerry Mcguire
"We were on a break!" Friends
"Norm!" Cheers

Swayze’s best moment was the “Chippendale” sketch for SNL with Chris Farley.

Two talents gone way ahead of their time.

I think I vaguely remember that, and remember it as hilarious. I’ll have to see if I can find it on you tube or something.

I watched a bio thingy about Chris Farley the other day. I was never a big fan, but it made me sad he died so soon. He had a great family and all, but well, his eyes were bigger than his stomach in a not good way, let’s just say that. It was funny how he took the name of a priest he knew for one of his characters and then everyone is saying to father “hey, are you that guy?”

Belushi too, what a waste and John Candy, whom I just loved, it’s very sad they all died so young.

"Miss Scarlett, Miss Scarlett, I don’t know nothing ‘about birthin’ no babies!"

Great line, but is not really part of the American vocabulary. There are many wonderful lines in countless movies, but this thread is about memorable and repeatable one line phrases that have become part of the American culture that most generations recognize. Still, you get an A for that memorable line in that movie.

The pellet with the poison’s in the flagon with the dragon! The

Yes, that has been used and abused since back when. I'll accept that one, not that I'm the end all of historic media phrases. Still, ""In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"

That one was actually just a response to someone else’s quote. Besides, I’ve heard man comedians incorporate that line into their routines. I’ll agree that it is probably not as well known as the other famous lines from “Gone With the Wind”.

It’s still a good one! Use it all the time with the “birthin’ no babies” changed to fit the circumstance. “I don’t know nothin’ ‘bout no computer speak” Great movie. First time it was seen Clark Gable was in hospital, a soon to be new Dad. He never walked out of the building. I cried. He might have been a rogue, a reprobate but to a young teen, he was only a big star in a movie classic.
