This was my take on it last night.
I will say that I did see one video where it was crystal clear that his foot did not touch the base. It showed the video of the entire sweep of the foot, and a gap remain very evident throughout.
I did not see the deflection video you did. I don’t know how to explain that.

I saw that angle too but it clearly isn’t conclusive enough to overturn the call at least based on the criteria I have seen in place in the regular season.
The angle I saw in high def you could see the bag change shape for a split second and the light reflected off the bag was definitely altered for a split second.
Lots of MLB players and staff still don’t know what the MLB front office was up to when they took it out of the umpires hands and basically set the Dodgers up for a win.
-David Wright:” I have a lot of questions. I’m not sure if they’ve been answered or not. I’m not trying to call out the officials or the officiating. I’m just confused as to that play on a number of different levels.
I have a lot of questions. It’s not sour grapes. It’s not trying to call out the umpires. I’m just confused as to a number of different reasons why he was called safe right there”
If MLB is going to exercise that kind of power there has to be transparency and accountability, Torre was in the stands, so jut WHO decided to put Utley back on second ?
For all I can tell they just wanted the series to last another game for the ad revenue.
