A few years ago there was NRA ad based on a Breitbart article about Sidwell having armed security guards (unrelated to the USSS). It was posted here:

The compost gave said no:
No, Sidwell Friends School has no armed guards

What is the real story?
I really don’t understand why so many Americans are opposed to having armed guards protect your children in schools when so many of them are getting killed by lunatics.
I attended Aquinas School in San Juan (part of Metro Manila). Our school had high walls surrounding it and armed guards at all entrances. No one could enter without having a proper reason and all bags and lunch boxes were inspected.
No one complained since we all knew they were a necessity given the crimes in the country.
Why is it then ok for only the rich and powerful Americans to have armed guards protecting their children and not for the average person? One rule for the elite and another for everybody else?
Good question
Excellent syllogism. Raised Catholic by any chance?

Haha! Catholic Lite...(former) Episcopalian.
[Now that The Episcopal Church no longer believes in the basic tenets of Christianity — and even proactively denies them — have fled its clutches & consider myself a Traditional Anglican.]
Yeah, well until this pope I considered myself a traditional Catholic. Not sure WTH Francis is up to. Time will tell.
