Maybe he had one too many martinis but Daniel Craig was in full-on truth mode when he seemed to indicate in an interview with the UKs Time Out that his time as Britains favorite spy was over.
When asked if the actor, who plays the iconic James Bond for a fourth time in the upcoming "Spectre," would do another 007 film, the answer was salty, to say the least. Id rather break this glass and slash my wrists, said Craig. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on.
When pressed if that meant he was done with Bond for good, Craig replied, I haven't given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don't want to think about it. I don't know what the next step is. I've no idea. Not because I'm trying to be cagey. Who the f**k knows? At the moment, we've done it. I'm not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.
At the time of writing, Deadline was still awaiting comment from Sony Pictures, which launches "Spectre" in the UK on October 26 before its domestic bow the following week, and rights holder and producer Barbara Broccolis EON Productions. Craig is still, officially at least, contracted to do one more Bond film. Speculation has been rife for some time now that Craig, who turned 47 early this year, was looking to put away his Walther PPK and smoking jacket.
The actor took a beating during the production of "Spectre," undergoing knee surgery in April to repair an injury caused during filming.News of Craig's injury first surfaced in February

He is a good actor, but it goes against the character that Ian Fleming described Bond as, half-Scottish, half-Swiss.
I hate being around beautiful women, drive exotic cars and get paid to play for a living AND get paid $15-20 million. I don’t blame him one bit. Work, work, work, work
Tom Hardy.
No, she's doing Ms. Moneypenny......
Work is work ... to be part of this series is fortunate, indeed!
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth!
I am a James Bond fan.
Mrs. Bond was good.
haley berry was the worst
Pussy Galore was priceless
Ursula Andrews is iconic.
Tough picks in there.
When I am at a pc screen it will be easier to list favorites.
If you want James Bond, go to a library -Neil Burnside of SIS (Sandbaggers)
I consider JAMES BOND to be a job title.
They can hire Obama nad have Bond defect to SPECTRE.
Pre-coming out histrionics. Wasn't he already on the record for being fine with doing a homo scene?
It is really too bad. Craig is easily my favorite Bond since Connery. I guess the action scenes just beat him up so much physically that he doesn’t want the injuries. Personally I hope he stays on a bit longer.
4th row, 3rd from the right end.
Nope, he needs to be the next Wolverine. Hugh Jackman said he’s only doing one more.
Fixed! Unfair!!
Why isn't Jill St John offered?
IMHO, Craig was the only Bond who looked and acted like a trained killer all the time.
Others were funnier but none deadlier.
After all the quintessential English James Bond has been played by a Scot (Connery), a Welshman (Dalton), an Irishman and by blonde haired and black haired guys.
