Pictures like this always make me pine for my youth. I live in the city but when I was a boy the stars were so much more numerous. Now the night lights blot them out and you have to go deep into the country to see them well.
They have switched to LED street lights next to my house. They are blinding at night.
Pretty Picture, but, in the minds of freedom-loving Tibetans, Tibet is not part of China. Just sayin’.

Great pic, though only possible through the long exposure of the camera. The eye cannot detect most of the faint reds in the night sky. The Orion nebula for instance, looks green through a telescope with maybe a hint of red with good optics and proper breathing. Still an amazing snapshot of what surrounds us!
