The attack occurred inside Paschkes home between Batavia Lane and Ashley Lake Road; although its not clear how the bear got inside Paschkes home, it exited through a window, investigators said.
The attack was severe, officials said, but a hospital spokesperson said on Tuesday that the woman was recovering.
Wildlife officials are still attempting to capture the bear responsible for the attack, and on Thursday expressed frustration after uncovering evidence that people were still feeding bears near the property.

BAN BEARS!!!
Did it happen in her home? Not clear, lol.
RIP.
I see them up here often in some years. As big as some of them are they can, and do, move about quietly when they want. Bear wise, You should not be outside working, in non hibernation months, in any condition other than full alert and sufficiently armed. That is just the way it is up here.
Another bear feeder????
If you live in an area where bears also live, as I do, the first rule is to not have any type of food close by that would attract a bear. Once they discover a treat in your yard they come back looking for more.
Liberals will get themselves and other family members / friends killed by being too relaxed.
Hopefully, someone can effectively explain to her that she should increase her layers of defenses before it is too late. Big strong fence, remote controls, security lights/ cameras, multiple self defense weapons, etc.
She isn’t a liberal but likes to be brave in scary situations. I call it being dumb if you don’t prepare for the worst while hopping for the best.
