Wow! And here I was, expecting a blue-eyed Lithuanian. Imagine my surprise!
10 years until the trial, another 20 before he is put down.
I met my future wife there on a blind date back in 96.
Rarely go there any more. About 10 minutes down the road from me.

Another obama relative.
My mom lives about 1/2 mile form there.
Like you said, used to be a really nice mall, now it is mostly empty. Sadly the only reason to go there now is a Barnes & Noble and a Belk store.
Oddly enough Forest Acres is a nice area with some upscale houses near that mall.
Yeah, Forest Acres is where the old money still lives. I might be mistaken but I thought B & N closed. Use to be great when J.B. Whites was there
Haven’t been there in a long time myself.
And the bookstore, (Happy Bookseller?) and the record store....
B&N is still open, or it was a couple weeks ago when I was last there.
There is a Facebook site called “You may be from Columbia, SC if you remember when...” There are always pics of the old Richland Mall and the theater.
Trenholm Plaza is doing just fine maintaining it’s old time open style. Too bad they destroyed Richland Mall and built an enclosed albatross.
I used to love going to Richland Mall when I was a child and it was an open air mall. It was like shopping in a garden. I’ve only been couple of times since it was enclosed. I’ve not been since S&S Cafeteria closed. Prayers for the officer’s family.
Yes there are city bus stops at that mall.
ALL crime is islamist facilitation AFAIC.
A fair trial. If found guilty, then a quick appeal, then hang the son-of-a-muslim.
We used to go there as teenagers. I was surprised it's still open. RIP Officer Alia.
The Mall is on the fringe of Forest Acres. Go a 1/2 mile down Forest Drive, toward downtown, and you’ll be in some sketchy territory.
That is true.
Greg and his wife are personal friends of our son and his wife. It is devastating to the Public Safety community to lose Greg in such a senseless way. Our son works for Richland County EMS and was already aware of the alleged killer’s run-ins with the law. The response of donations for the family is amazing. https://www.gofundme.com/mvc.php?route=search&term=Greg%20Alia
Cool..will look for that page
The Fresh Market & the pancake place (forgot name lol) really boosted Trenholm Plaza
