Very neat. :) Thanks for the pic. Hope she survived the flood. My brother has a pet tarantula. She lives in half a coconut shell. She’s very happy there.

Awwww!

They sell tarantulas and other spiders at the reptile expos.

Some of them are wildly expensive.

Funniest thing I ever saw was a “litter” [?] of newly hatched tarantula babies in deli cups, for sale.

Who knew they were so tiny?

I’ve seen that! I think the Japanese are into that if I’m thinking about the same thing. Don’t tell my little girl this, but a lot of the Japanese are a little on the quirky/weird side. I’m a little bit of a hypocrite, though, regarding previous statement...maybe quirks and eccentricities are not always such a fascinating thing. :)

Thanks for the tip. :) Gonna do it now.

Here's a neat short video...I love the one trying to hammer a nail and saw a piece of wood:

Giving a puppy to an animal that will potentially tear it apart is way beyond “adorably quirky”.

Chimps are okay until they hit puberty..and then, all bets are off.

Lots of horror stories, there.

I agree and have heard/read the same. Even knowing how awful they can be (murdering other chimps and animals and viciously attacking humans), I still cry at the ending of People of the Forest. Gets me every time.

This will cheer you up.

It's the "Please Don't Stomp Me, I'm So Happy To See You!" Spider. :)

Thanks! Those are great. I couldn’t kill him even if he didn’t have the happy face. :)

Really! He’s come up with some neat stuff. I always liked Robin williams’ joke about God and the platypus. :)

You wouldn't need to light the spray. A spray on the spider from either substance would have killed it.

Lol...so there is a black snake in my garage who has recently deposited another skin.. So he must b growing...
I am the designated spider re locator here... I can move your cave if you can relocate that black snake before it gets big enough to eat my VW bug. I seriously think I would just sell my car and take a month off work if I came downstairs and found it nestled in the drivers seat.

First Wolf spider I saw dropped down my buddy’s chimney while we were watching a Redskins game. Sort of looked like a baby Tarantula, about an inch and a half. Biggest spider I’d ever seen. Friend pushed it with the poker, trying to move it into a trash can. That sucker set himself and pushed back! When we set it on the patio, it hunkered down a bit and then brought his body up and slowly swaggered into the grass. Spider with an attitude.

It was always a challenge getting Muffy to stay home on work days. For some reason the neighbors hated when she'd follow me to the car. Poor ol' Muffster.. she thought EVERY day was "Bring Your Spider To Work Day!" I never did understand why the vet wouldn't treat her for that separation anxiety problem.
