HOUSTON A federal agent is under investigation after he allegedly assaulted a man at a high school football game, then pulled his gun on a crowd that gathered during the melee.
Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms special agent Marc Delpit, father of a St. Thomas High School football player, allegedly got into an argument with a fellow team father during half-time in a recent game against Angleton High School.
Several witnesses allege Delpit punched the man to the ground and continued to assault him as bystanders gathered and attempted to intervene, KHOU reports.
The special agent told police *** he felt threatened**** by the other father and defended himself. He pulled out his gun to protect himself from the crowd, Delpit said, according to KHOU.

Uh oh, Looks like somebodies getting paid vacation and a promotion.
This is exactly the place where the “If you or I did that” standard applies.
Why do BATFags even still exist?
Sounds like a classic case of “don’t you know who I am”.
If this goes to the Harris County DA, this will not get kid glove treatment. I know some people there.
That'll teach him!
You mean something like this - a double standard? Never.
Should police get to review video before Internal Affairs interviews?

A friend got bumped by a secret service agent leaving a big, crowded event. No damage to the vehicles, but the SS guy jumps out and runs over to my friend’s car. Without saying who he is, or showing a badge, he starts reaching inside the vehicle - perhaps to take the car keys out of the ignition. So my friend punches him.
It is then the SS guys shows his badge. My friend did a short little time in jail and the ensuing headaches of missing work, losing his job, additional court appearances, etc.
If that had been me, I’d probably be serving life for shooting a SS guy.
Because bureaucracies are forever, they cannot die once created.
The person who did that deserved a bullet between his eyes.
Good grief. St. Thomas is one of the better private schools in Houston. Was on the list of those considered by my son for my grandson.
I am reminded of the properties of a physical construct created by occult forces to do the bidding of their creator. In certain fiction novels, once called forth, they cannot be banished or destroyed.
Jus' sayin'.
Paranoia is a powerful neurosis. :-)
Denial is worse.
Was it “ok” for the agent to pull a gun on another parent and the crowd at a high school football game?
Of course not.
Surprising and unfortunate that your friend happened to encounter probably the only SS agent in the US sober enough to walk without assistance.
All I have to read is ATF and I’m ready to vote guilty as charged your honor. :-)
Amerika’s Praetorian Guard doesn’t have to abide by the laws that us “peasants” have to.
He’ll get a hefty raise I’m sure.
Ha! Ok.
Been a long day.
Ha - the SS guy WAS drunk! But my friend had some to drink too - so I thought I would leave that out of the story!
