Two Santa Rosa cannabis providers are coming to the rescue of Valley Fire victims.
Care by Design and AbsoluteXtracts have teamed up to donate $20,000 worth of medical marijuana products to Lake County residents who have prescriptions but lost access to their medicine because of the fire, the Press Democrat reported.
The companies issued a joint statement, saying: "This disaster happened in our own backyard. As a company that prides itself on putting patient needs first, we felt there was no better time to reach out and help our neighbors in their time of need."
Through Oct. 7, each victim with a California-issued ID card and an address in Kelseyville, Middletown, Cobb or Hidden Valley Lake can receive up to $200 worth of products.
Care by Design and AbsoluteXtracts are working in conjunction with local dispensaries to provide patients the cannabis they need. People must also have a valid prescription to California Member Services, Peace in Medicine or SPARC, according to the Press Democract.
The Valley Fire has scorched over 76,000 acres and is 97 percent contained as of Monday. Officials say it is Californias third most damaging blaze in terms of structures burned.
Nonsense - it's for "Lake County residents who have prescriptions".
That first part was tongue in cheek. But if a fire victim’s primary concern is where to get their weed, they have problems.
Who said it was their primary concern?
The dispensaries seem to think so.

At least as likely an explanation is that the dispensaries want to do well by doing good (positive PR). And even if you were right about the dispensaries: since they don't speak for the fire victims, what the dispensaries think says nothing about any fire victims primary concern.
Are you saying that anyone who calls Soros’ “marijuana is medicine” crap a scam is a leftwinger?
LOL
Try again.
I’m sure you can do better than that.
Are you saying that anyone who calls Soros marijuana is medicine crap a scam is a leftwinger?
No, I'm saying that anyone who claims that Soros' support is relevant to the policy debate is using leftwingers' tactics.
From the federal National Institute on Drug Abuse (http://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/drugfacts/marijuana-medicine:
Currently, the two main cannabinoids from the marijuana plant that are of medical interest are THC and CBD.
THC increases appetite and reduces nausea. The FDA-approved THC-based medications are used for these purposes. THC may also decrease pain, inflammation (swelling and redness), and muscle control problems.
CBD is a cannabinoid that does not affect the mind or behavior. It may be useful in reducing pain and inflammation, controlling epileptic seizures, and possibly even treating mental illness and addictions.
NIH-funded and other researchers are continuing to explore the possible uses of THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids for medical treatment.

Anyone who pushes marijuana
is either a pothead
or stands to gain monetarily from Soros’ “legalization” scam.
George Soros Funding Pot Legalization Push
So that's a yes to my question. We'll have to agree to disagree.
Nobody here is doing that; I'm noting the established medical benefits of cannabis (with no response from you other than "Soros!").
