Just decided to restart a thread i made maybe 10 years ago.....Nothing is off limits....gear, favorite players, techniques, amps, effects...you name it, we can all discuss it.
I own numerous amps...SS and Tube Eventide effects, Hardwire and Line6.. I am mostly a Fender Telecaster guy but have a jazz box and various other.
Carry on!
Alan Holdsworth
I have both kinds of guitar. Charvel and Jackson ;) 5FX and a Dinky. Both w/Floyds
, The 5FX has a ToneZone. Boss GT Pro, SL20, CE20, RE20. No amp and direct to board from the GT as I just entertain myself. No gigging here.
For you beginners, here is a good start...nice Aussie guy http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-000-BeginnersCourse.php
Aww, I’m no good on guitar... I can bang out some movable jazz chords, a blues shuffle, and a few Chuck Berry licks, but that’s about it :)
I think my hands are a bit too small to ever be great at it, so I switched to keyboards and just focus on that now.
Alan Holdsworth....I believe EVH stole from him...What do you think?
I have a Gibson Les Paul Signature T Gold Top, a Fender HSS Stratocaster, and play through a ‘68 Fender Deluxe Reverb amp. I use DigiTech RP500 for stage effects, along with an POG.
You’re a little more shred than me...I have a srat and tele...fender Deluxe Reverb..Couple of Roland Blues Cube and a Budda superdrive 30
Here’s a nice Robert Johnston-style blues by Keith Richards I heard this week, I like it:

Usually you think of Keef grinding those rock n roll licks, so it’s nice to see he has a little range.
How do compare the ‘65 to the ‘68 deluxe?
refer to post 4...I have dinky hands too ;)
Bfl
Saw the documentary of Keef called “Under the Influence” He stunned me a bit with his acoustic playing....He seems like a nice bloke.
Bluegrassers love Martins, I have two D-18’s.
You’d mention bass players, but were too busy gigging to post much.
:-)
I’m a hack when it comes to playin but I’ve had a blast making and hacking on 3 and 4 string cigar box guitars. Lest you scoff, have a listen to what one can sound like in the hands of a real player:

Bump for later. Wanna talk about my new Pro Junior and upgrades!
I sold off everything except my Carvins over the last few years. Too many dollars tied up in high-priced PRS and Taylor instruments that I rarely played.
placemarker!
Love them, I have one 1969 D-18.
