I think someone will give him a home. Police dogs run the gamut from very well trained to poorly trained. Whether they’re good around kids is a very individual thing. One of my clients had a demo police dog that was great with kids.
I believe too that the dog’s demeanor would have nothing to do with his training as a K9 officer. It would depend on the individual dog’s personality whether it is good with children.
