All very true. I still think she's useless, though, and IMO she can die anytime now.

As useless and detached as teenagers can seem sometimes, I harken back to the only thing Dr Phil ever said that I’ve taken to heart (and I’m paraphrasing): “When you’re talking to your kids and they’re rolling their eyes, or throwing up their hand, or looking away from you...their ears are still open.”

Kids, as teens, can eventually “come around”. They can even become a good friend. Just keep talking to them. :-)

Do y’all remember when the doctor was talking to Daniel and his family about the wife’s injury, and she said there were no antibiotics left? Did I hear that right?

Do you think it’s credible that there would be none left after only nine days?

Well none left that they can find is possible.

We don't know how far gone the SHTF scenario has progressed. The soldiers may be operating without a command structure above them. Then of course the drugstores and liquor stores are the first hit when rioting starts and we already know that happened and they were burning buildings. Throw in hoarders like Tobias who were better prepared and had a plan the area might be devoid of useful drugs after looting and fires etc.

I know in our area we went without power for 11 says and by day 5 my parents could not get their prescription medicine anywhere in a three county area. And no one was burning down anything nor stores were being robbed. Our whole system for providing drugs and food to the masses has been slowly transformed into a just-in-time delivery system. Which means there is not much stockpiled at the point where consumers buy these things. This stuff is stored in large distribution centers which is a problem because a bit of gas and some matches and lots of valuable stuff is gone in a flash.

I may’ve missed that. Wouldn’t surprise me that there would be a shortage of antibiotics by now. The medical community was probably throwing everything they had at this “new” sickness, including antibiotics.

Of course...at this point, we know the Doc lies and obfuscates.

Of course, there IS probably enough left to treat any medical problems the NG camp commander, the Doc and other insiders may personally have.

And the other bit to consider is that people can still get sick right now without being bit. We tend to forget it all started with something akin to the flu so I would gather soldiers don't want to venture too far away from the supposed safe zones in search of supplies and risk bringing back infection.

We give the "Walking Dead" writers too much credit. They are probably generic writers (sitcom this week, drama next week) or know how to write horror but they probably know crap about end time scenarios.

I will give a pass at having the gun. I can rationalize it as stating she may not know how to use it, she may not have ammo and if they catch her with a gun the soldiers may arrest her. The man was dead with a gun and it did not protect him.

Leaving the food behind was inexcusable though. Like they forgot to include that scene and had no time to re-shoot.
