I’m enjoying the teen characters way more than Nick the junkie.
Chris is compelling, alone, not much attention from his Dad and after tonight, his Mom. An alienated teen who seems to learning about this new world all on his own.
Liking Alicia too. Her parent isn’t telling her important info and she’s just trying to make sense of what has happened and what’s happening.
I see them as just a family involved in something that is horrific and catastrophic and they know pretty much nothing at this point. They’re clueless because wouldn’t most people be that way?
I relate because I’m self-centered when it comes to my family.
No. It’s the beginning/initial part. The SHTF hasn’t happened yet.
As it most likely would be in the first days.
That’s not what the show is supposed to present. LOL!
It’s the beginning, for this family and their story in the end of their world.
This is similar to the story told in TWD. Rick wakes up, from a coma, and finds the world far different than when he was last awake. The episodes follow his story. He and the other characters didn’t know about the ZA or how it started or what to do to kill them, etc. Seasons 1 and 2 played out and we the audience find out more as the characters do, etc.
This is the same thing just from the beginning for this family rather than from when the main character wakes up from his coma.
You’re right.
And this is when they really start discovering that it’s not at all what it seems.
They weren’t in the first season.
Why should there be more zombies in the very beginning, the first 9 days, of the Apocalypse?
Right.
I hope we see him again.
I thought this episode set up the season really well.
The junkie lounging in the pool? Well he is a junkie. Do they ever make sense?
Travis jogging. Why wouldn’t he keep to his daily routine? He doesn’t know it’s a Zombie Apocalypse or any other kind of Apocalypse. He and his family think it’s gonna get better. It’s just a bump in the road right now. They don’t know what we know.
Heh. Funny, isn’t it.
Madison was painting the walls to get the blood and guts off of it from the shooting of the zombie neighbor in episode 2.
Travis ignoring his teen son’s pleas because huh maybe it’s a parent/teen thing?
Madison doesn’t think “it’s peachy” but maybe thinks “great, dealing with my addict son yet again when there’s a whole lot going on?”
Madison decides to investigate because Chris thinks it’s important?
Madison didn’t have a hissy fit because Liza went off with Madison’s son but because Liza alerted the military/doctor to Nick’s addiction and thus Nick was “taken in.” I’d be pissed too. And Liza, ex wife didn’t go with Nick but because Dr asked her to and Liza left behind her teenage son! Maybe Liza didn’t “stick like glue” to her OWN kid because she cared about other stuff more? That’s how I’d see it. Nothing would make me leave my children. Nothing.
I liked Liza and still do. She’s no more perfect than any of the others imo.
The painting the walls has nothing to do with being a distraction. The neighbor’s brains and blood were splattered on the wall. That’s why she’s painting it.
5. Whatever you do, avoid any temptation to practice driving golf balls during a Zombie Apocalypse.
It never turns out well.
Why would they be filling the sink and tubs with water when they think this is a temporary thing? It’s easy for us to see but this is their story playing out.
You’re ridiculous and obviously haven’t watched all the eps.
She, Madison, didn’t “kick him to the curb.” She asked him to come with her and he declined.Sorry, but that is probably the most realistic scene in this whole show so far.
“Selfish public servant, absorbed in own worries, tells the KID with the valuable info to shove off and good luck.
Youll either see nerdy fat zit kid dead next week, or at the head of an armoured column later...depends on which way the writers go.”
Are you watching the show or just blabbing about some agenda? Should I put “s/” as you did to another poster? You’re a moron.
Or maybe it’s part of the story and since he’s a junkie...
