I don’t think he contradicted himself. I have yet to hear Trump say a bad word about Cruz. I have yet to hear Cruz say a bad word about Trump.

No contradiction. I’m both pro Cruz and pro Trump.

Right now, Trump is the only path forward. Cruz, I fear, was being swallowed by the GOPe game, and I think he decided he just couldn’t do it. He may be susceptible to the power of big donor cash, or he may now be beyond purchase since he’s seen the light. It’s hard to say, but it looks like, at the very least, at one point he was dancing to the tune of the big donors.

That really doesn’t matter much, because the GOPe has rigged the primary game to stop Cruz, or any other normal candidate that tries to defeat the GOPe choice, Jeb Bush.

Along comes Trump, who because of his big wallet and big ego can’t be bought, and the GOPe plan is in danger. It’s not just that Trump won’t easily be swayed by money, his totally non PC brashness and willingness to discuss issues that nobody else wants to touch, and his knowledge of how the game is played, and his sometimes jaw droppingly brilliant tactics all make him the weapon that can kill the GOPe hold on the nomination process.

I’m no wild eyed follower of Trump. He can sound like an idiot, the autism/vaccine thing shows that, but I think was honestly going off bum info. And he thinks that’s no big deal, because the guy he’ll have working for him is supposed to get those kind of things right.

He truly believes that he’ll delegate the details to the best he can find, then just point the way. It’s not politics as usual, but it’s a valid way to lead.

I don’t like some of his positions. He talks too much. He’s got a damn high opinion of himself, but he has a sense of humor about it.

But it all boils down to this: Trump is the only way to smash the GOPe stranglehold on the party, and the GOPe is effectively allied with the Democrats when it comes to staying in power and on the major issues.

Face it, Karl Rove, Boehner and the Turtle would all rather have President Hillary than President Trump, and not because they think Trump is a clown, unstable or a secret liberal. It’s because if he wins, the gravy train may well end for the professional political weasels.

The internet sensation Diamond and Silk aren’t touching Cruz, either.

They had been for Carson as VP but they have even gone after Carson in recent days - although they skipped knocking Carson’s last debate.
