By the way, the police say that they only arrested 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed because he could not explain to them what his thing was. Why couldn't he tell 'em it was just a clock? I suspect one of the reasons is, it didn't look like a clock.

Supposedly, he had shown the device to his "engineering" teacher, who told him his gadget was neat but advised him not to show it to other teachers. If that's true, his engineering teacher should have been able to put a quick end to this gift to Obama and embarrassment to Irving. Why wasn't this engineering teacher consulted before dialing 911?

If anything, I blame the muzzie yute. He defiantly rejected what the engineering teacher told him. As Rush Limbaugh pointed out, he took that same defiant attitude to the Irving PD. As I understand the sequence, it was the English teacher who contacted the police. Public school or not, I can't imagine someone who teaches English being skilled enough to readily identify a device like that shown in the photos. I went to a private Christian college and my Bible professor, a very wise man, would not have been able to discern the nature of the gadget.

But the overarching point remains that adherents to islam should not be given the same treatment as Americans. I unabashedly favor a double standard and fully support profiling.

cynwoody -- If I'm not mistaken, you're in Massachusetts. I am in Texas where the muzzie peril is a clear and ever-present danger in far too-close proximity. This table shows the number of mosques in the top five states:

New York 257
California 246
Texas 166
Florida 118
Illinois 109

With so many members of the Religion of Blowing Things to Pieces here and with mosques in great profusion, I offer this as explanation for my hardline stand when it comes to them. Although I can speak only for myself (and realize this thread indeed isn't "all about me"), I believe that most of my fellow Texans take a similar hardline, zero-tolerance stand when it comes to those disciples of that satanic death cult.

Look at the imposing size of the sprawling Islamic Center of Irving, Texas! With that in the community, it's understandable why the people of that Dallas suburb need to be extra vigilant when it comes to the invaders who have come there. And make no mistake, invaders are what they are...not Americans.
