Personally, I've had problems with getting to the front of the line only to have the ride break down. Happened to me on the TTD and on the Millennium. Watching/monitoring almost daily via the webcams I saw the lines dissipate at TTD several times this summer...

I remember taking one of my daughters on the Magnum XL 200 for her first ever coaster. In line, she nervously kept asking "Daddy, daddy, is this one 100 feet tall?". "No" I said repeatedly.
Harnesses go down, we get locked in, the operator gives the "Clear" signal and I say "It's not 100 feet tall Allie, it's 200 feet tall!".
What a jerk.
