A US amusement park that has a record number of thrilling rides has revealed plans for the tallest, fastest and longest dive roller coaster in the world.

The ride called Valravn (val-rey-vuhn), at Cedar Point, in Sandusky, Ohio, promises to be a terrifying experience, as daredevil passengers will free fall a record 214ft at a 90-degree angle and top speed of 75mph.

With stomach-churning twists and turns, Valravn will set 10 world records when it debuts in the summer of 2016 at the theme park on a Lake Erie peninsula.

Our launch speed was 122 mph one one TTD launch...

Awesome. I remember after it was first built, those bleachers set up to watch it would be packed full of people all day.

Personally, I've had problems with getting to the front of the line only to have the ride break down. Happened to me on the TTD and on the Millennium.

Watching/monitoring almost daily via the webcams I saw the lines dissipate at TTD several times this summer...

Great pix, by the way!

I remember taking one of my daughters on the Magnum XL 200 for her first ever coaster. In line, she nervously kept asking "Daddy, daddy, is this one 100 feet tall?". "No" I said repeatedly.

Harnesses go down, we get locked in, the operator gives the "Clear" signal and I say "It's not 100 feet tall Allie, it's 200 feet tall!".

What a jerk.

I can't ride the woodies anymore. They are too rough. Knock from side to side. The new ones are so smooth.

My favorite woodie was "The Comet" at Crystal Beach in Ft. Erie. Great ride.

Nah, I haven’t been there.

The best ones I’ve ridden are the old Zephyr at Pontchartrain Beach, which no longer exists, the Mega Zephyr at Jazzland, which is now Ghostland Abandoned Park...very, spooky place to drive by, Thunder Road at Carowinds, the two awesome woodies at Six Flags over Georgia, and the miner car one at Disney World.

I’ve been on a number of steel coasters too, but they are too much for me.

Last one of those I road was a Jazz land. Damn thing went backwards. It literally almost killed me. If the ride had been one second longer, my soul would have left my body. I was sick for three hours after that thing... too much G’s.
