I seem to recall that the WTC was only insured for one building. Something about the likelihood of losing both buildings at once. Also, I’d always thought that the WTC was Port Authority property. Is this wrong?

Well, there was a long standing controversy.Not that it was insured for only one building. It was that was 9/11 two events or a single event. As a single event using two planes to attack the WTC he would be reimbursed for a single event of a terrorist attack. If the two planes were deemed as separate attacks he would then be covered for both attacks, both buildings.
I can't recall for sure, but in the end I think the ruling was that it was two separate attacks.
