So did anyone go to church today and hear any mention of Kim Davis being jailed for adhering to her Christian beliefs?
It is against the law to tell congregants to vote for specific parties or candidates.
Unless you are an African-American pastor - then electioneering is encouraged.
Yes, it’s one thing to mention her, and it’s a better thing to pray for her.

Losing a longtime buddy who’s been with you for 15 years is a big loss. I think everyone in your church would’ve understood if he had taken the day off today.
Kim Davis supporters have been calling, emailing, and using social media to ask, “What can I do to help Kim?” Liberty Counsel has already heard from pastors who are sending buses of supporters to the rally on Tuesday. If you are near Kentucky, here is a great opportunity to stand against judicial tyranny and the unlawful imprisonment of Kim. Join us on Tuesday, September 8, at 3:00 p.m.!”

When asked last week the SCOTUS said she didn’t have standing (no damage no infringement of rights. That certainly is not the case now. Expect a habits corpus to be filed and charges and appeals to follow. This will go back to SCOTUS. First amendment issue
Were some arguing against Kim during the duscussion?
He’s the only one we have. There was a lot of sympathy, though ... and if he hadn’t come to church, he would have been alone except for his cat.
Yes, let them know there are choices and consequences.
Thanks for posting that. It made me stop and realize- I have most often made decisions based on comfort and not right or wrong.
I have some painting to get done and I will be thinking on this. Thanks again.
I’m still waiting to see the epic fight between Muslims and the homosexuals, unless of course they are in league together to destroy Christianity.
Yeah I’ve become downright masochistic in my desire to do what’s right for the country even at my own expense.
No.
Nope for mine, too. My pastor was also conituing a series. Tough message about taking ownership of your own sin. He didn’t seem all that comfortable talking about it, so I was willing to give him a pass for not mentioning Kim Davis.
“Its against the law to get into politics in Church”
No. Especially for the Catholic Church which is not organized as a non-profit religious organization under IRS rules. It is considered simply a free church and its speech is protected under the first amendment. It doesn’t pay taxes either.
The sad fact is that too many Catholic leaders are PC.
Glad to say we’re in the minority. Most people here are saying their pastors and priests talked about her and prayed for her.

Yes, Deacon made it the first Prayer Request out, and We Prayed for her during that time, and the Pastor mentioned it in His Sermon. Was late for Sunday School, knowing the Teacher( who is my daughter) it was discussed there.
Your priest is telling us the hard truth.
