He played for a team that won with defense. Dilfer was pretty much mediocre, and expendable.

He’s now been cut by three NFL teams. Will people accept that he is not NFL material and it’s not some anti Christian conspiracy.

And traded by a fourth.

Tebow reminds me of that joke about the guy who was on the roof of his house with the floodwater rising and who turns down a rescue by a jeep, a boat, and a helicopter telling each in turn that God would provide. When the waters came up and he drowned he faced God and said, "What happened? I had faith you would provide." To which God replies, "You idiot, I sent you a jeep and a boat and a helicopter."

Well God has sent Tebow the Broncos, the Jets, the Patriots, and now the Eagles. Maybe it's His way of telling Tebow to try something else.

I’m a Baltimorean. I know very well about Trent. But that’s what happens when you’re only mediocre. You get cut. Just as Tebow has, now by his 3rd team.

Trent wasn’t good. Same as Tebow.

Hence, cut from the squad.

You will understand why that really pisses me off.

If true then there is a certain sense of irony in that.

He is not talented enough to play in the NFL.

I'd modify that to "not talented enough to play... in a drop-back passing offense." The problem isn't that you couldn't win a lot of games with him as a backup... it's that to use his talents optimally, you'd have to change your offensive system dramatically when you put him in.

I’m surprised, Norm, that you are making this about your feelings.

If it makes you feel better, lots of mediocre thugs have been cut across the NFL as the roster size is reduced leading up to the regular season.

Yeah, you need skills. Coaches dig guys with skills. Skills like dog fighting skills, ball deflating skills, rape skills.

Couldn’t be because of his outspoken faith. There isn’t any discrimination against Christians nowadays.

No. He is tossed not just because he is a Christian. It was the Super Bowl ad and his huge platform, that was a slam at the No.1 Sacrament of the Marxists/Leftists: Abortion. (No. 2 is sodomy-—the act which equates Life to Excrement for Ba’al Worship.)

His pro-life commotion in 1910 made him anathema. Doctor: “It is a tumor”—”abort” Tim Tebow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL (Wisdom of our “doctors” and our “legal” system EXPOSED, which promotes killing human beings even though they are not god and know nothing).

I am no NFL fan-—although I used to go to a lot of 49er games because I was raising four boys and a girl who love sports.......BUT, there are many mediocre players out there, who at least get off the bench once in a while, and are 3rd string. He is being made an “example” for people who “believe” like he does (and a miracle baby)-—and it is constant belittling and demeaning to the extreme-—not done with any other “mediocre” or Christian players.

Although Christianity is constantly belittled and mocked and censored and banned and demeaned in most public spheres, as satanism, humanism, naturalism and paganism (islam) (all other religions)) are glorified and pushed into the faces of the fans and being normalized in children; the war for the Souls and Minds of our children is made REALLY clear by the treatment and “playing” of Tim Tebow by this toxic culture.

You would have to explain why their outspoken Christian faith didn't count against quarterbacks like Kurt Warner or Matt Hasselbeck. Maybe because they could play the position at the pro level and Tebow couldn't?

You’ve told us in your post that you’re not much of a fan, but would like us to believe that you are a better judge of football talent than the folks who do it for a living in the NFL.

That’s a tough sell.

Right now the CFL season is more than half over. Not saying it is impossible but it would be difficult for him to join at this point. US players do take some time to adjust to the different rules.
