Listening to Sean Hanity on my local station (delayed). Louie Gohmert is guest hosting. He said he would NOT run for re-election if the Senate would consider Obama's Iran deal an actual treaty.
That is a gutsy move, but considering Obama that is really safe bet they would never consider it an actual Treaty.
He also told the establishment this would be their best chance of getting rid of him in the house.
I am fine with that, If Cruz becomes prez, Louie would make a fine Texas senator!
Louie Gohmert has officially endorsed Cruz.
and now just because it makes me laugh.

I heard the opening minutes long enough to add my ‘yes’, to the question posed in the title.
Yesterday there was a Cruz rally in Tyler, TX I was hoping to make since I am in Jacksonville for work... but I missed it. I know Judge Gohmert has an office on Loop 323 in Tyler... was he in Texas yesterday? Tyler? Just wondering if his endorsement came at the rally that I missed.
Gohmert gave his endorsement of Cruz very early on. Cruz did pick up a couple more endorsements from Texas legislators this week though.
I like Louie Gohmert - BUT he and others in the House and a couple in the Senate chairing committees have talked TOUGH for over 4 years and HAVE NOT DONE A DAMNED THING... TALK TALK TALK TALK ... THREATEN THREATEN THREATEN ... NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING AS A RESULT...
They can talk all they want but if they don’t have the numbers, nothing will get done. I’m not talking about republicans, I’m talking about conservatives lacking the numbers.
It takes time and patience to build an effective majority.
When YOUR Congressman and all those other “ran as conservative” joins and stands with Louie Gohmert, conservative things will get done.
When voting makes you smile you know you are in the First District of Texas and can vote for both Ted Cruz and Louie Gohmert.
I would suspect that if Cruz’s Senate seat becomes available, Dewhurst will run. Would certainly hope that Gohmert steps up to the plate. Anybody but Dewhurst - or George P. Bush!!!
As they go, Louie is a good man. IMO.
So...what have WE done to support the few good ones like him who are trying to make a difference??? Any details, are appreciated (knowing there aren't concrete ones).
Two months ago (on the night of the 4th of July), I posed a simple question to our ranks:
“Our moment in history...FR...What say ye?”
The response was underwhelming. I brought it up since, unsuccessfully. I guess it is easier for us to criticize than to do something on our own to move the ball forward. Rather, we hire a political class and just bitch about them not making a difference. This strategy is doomed to fail, and quite obvious why. Great nations are born from people caring enough to make a difference, and lost to people who don't care enough to make a difference.
