Donald Trump isn't going on the attack against Ben Carson — not yet, at least.
"Well, I'm much better as a counterpuncher, so I'd rather have, and I'm hoping for Ben to really hit me at some point, because I love to counterpunch," the Republican presidential candidate said in response to a question on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," adding that the retired neurosurgeon has "been very nice to me, he's actually a really nice guy."
. Trump remarked that he and Carson get along well, and that he gets along well with most of the other people who will be appearing with him on the debate stage on Sept. 16.
"And it's interesting, but I think I’m probably going to wait," Trump said. "I do have certain things to say, but I'm not going to be saying them for a little while. Let’s see what happens."
On Thursday, a Monmouth national poll revealed that among several Republican contenders, only Carson defeated Trump in a hypothetical matchup (55 percent to 36 percent).
In an interview with the Daily Caller on Wednesday, Trump was questioned whether Carson had the right experience to be president.
“He’s really a friend of mine, I just think it’s a very difficult situation that he puts himself into, to have a doctor who wasn’t creating jobs and would have a nurse or maybe two nurses. It’s such a different world. I’ve created tens of thousands of jobs over the years," he answered.
Aides for Trump's campaign have been hesitant to criticize Carson as well, though one staffer did take a shot at Carson's endorsement of legal relief for immigrants who come to the United States illegally

Ditto. I've been looking to see if there are any mass demonstrations/gathering points in Kentucky to support Kim Davis as I'm only a 6.5 hour drive away, and I've found NOTHING.
What is going on in Kentucky, and what's going on with Free Republic? Back in the day, there would've been hundreds of people on here ready to go to support Davis, and thus far -- nothing.
I haven't even found a legal defense fund setup for her that I can contribute to. What is wrong with our side?

You can’t win at 8% in the polls. Cruz just is not getting the traction. He needs to stick with Trump and get a place at the table later when Trump wins.

Cruz and Carson and Trump are great. KNOCK Bush, Kasich and Christie. Ask yourself this, the RINOS hate us and conservatives. If Trump were what you think he is, they would be supporting him, not viciously attacking him. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
I have my doubts that Carson’s mild approach/appearance is sufficient as for dealing with international calamities. I’m not totally sold on Trump as to a few issues but he would be a much better person to deal with the likes of Putin.

They are supporting him with vast amounts of free prime time Face time.
They are not doing this for any other ‘Republican’ candidate.
When they “tear him down” they deliberately do it weakly, and foolishly, which redounds to his advancement. this is subtle propaganda at its best.
The MSM are in effect shoving Trump down our throats.

Well now that you have got my number you need to get a clue.
Unlike you Cruz realizes he is not likely to win the GOP nomination polling at 4%-8% so he has hitched his wagon to Trump’s star. They have met 5 times lately. They are not forming a chess club. Cruz has now invited Donald to speak at the Anti Iran Treaty Rally on WEd. It’s a partnership. Look for Cruz to get the VP or AG spot in a Trump Administration. Its all good.
