“Cat” brought home a very young cat here one day which I also brought in...I really didn't want another animal but she was so very cute I couldn't resist....At any rate these two tolerated each other..with the big cat dominating most everything when he had a mind to. But bed time became an issue of who was going to win out....that too was hysterical...the little one would creep up around my neck bypassing big cat...who as soon as he noted would bat him a good one!
As the little kitty grew, and knew my habits, as soon as she noted bedtime prep she'd scoot in on the bed and stand tall on the end of it as Queen of the Mountain....just waiting til Big Kitty would come in....the worm had turned and now she would bat him if he tried to get up there!
They eventually called a truce...she opted for my feet and big kitty my side.! Ha!
Unfortunately over the summer “Isabelle” escaped and still has not come back....I decided then never to make a cat a house cat again. I miss her but really think she's adopted herself somewhere else. Another poster told me cats are notorious adulterers....they'll adopt another family and return even a year later as if nothings happened!
“You have four! Oh my gosh!”
It was never my intention to have that many. Normally two would be just right. But . . . another one needed to be fostered for my friend the rescue lady, and once in my home, she became number three. Then number four needed to be saved from the mean streets she was living on from the time she was a baby. Then her “owners” moved away and left her. I took her in too. Four of them now. I truly cannot afford any more. And Lordy, they eat better than I do!
