I don’t like any of the characters. I hope the zombies eat them all.
It is getting good. Like you said walkers are now multiplying rapidly.
However the teenage daughter reminds me of a young Carl from TWD. I would like to slap some sense into them.
Yeah, my first impressions in episode 1 were not good, so FTWD lost out again to The Last Ship. I will have to watch Dead later and see if I like episode 2 better than 1.
I thought the same
Hey! Darryl loves his bike.
Looking at the episode listings and Tobias is only in 2 of the 7 produced. FWIW.
Well that makes sense. He saw how Mom of team libtard acted towards a zombie and almost got herself killed and nearly got him killed as well. He figures his chances are way better without them. Look at all his choices. He started carrying a weapon immediately when he figured out what was happening. Then when he lost the weapon he continually worked on getting it back AND he worked to secure himself a food supply. When he realized the Principal had turned into a Walker he immediately looked for a way out and only engaged the Zombie after Momtard wouldn't listen and got herself attacked by it.
Finally Momtard offered him "safe" haven at her house and he cut his loses and turned her down flat. The only reason he ever got in danger is because Momtard would not listen.
I really like Tobias. I wonder if they’ll end up swinging back by his house on the way out of the city.
Agreed. It was very good, IMO.
I could not help yelling "Go for the head!!" during the struggle between Mom/Tobias and the principal. If they only knew what we know...!
She is definitely a weak link, and she is getting on my last nerve. I told my husband they need Carl Grimes to show them how to grow up fast.
Every time I see Nick, he reminds me of Johnny Depp. His tag line could be “Who’s eating Gilbert Grape?”
;-)
And last night’s episode: #ZombieLivesMatter
But isn't that reflective of real life? Like in the tsunami videos from 2004 you see this one guy standing on the beach as the waves come at him and he just can't allow himself to think he's in danger. Or the lady I read about in the South Tower of the World Trade Center who was telling people to go back to their desks instead of evacuating. She couldn't dare to be "paranoid" and opt for safety instead of maybe being wrong and getting judged for it.
I think it's human nature for some people to instantly deny what they're seeing or experiencing if it is outside of their understanding. Like if something has never happened before they can't imagine it happening EVEN AS it is happening! In this much I think the show is actually very realistic and it's this part that makes me the most uncomfortable. Like the neighbor across the street who gets attacked while she's picking up from a birthday party and pretending that everything is normal even as the city is falling apart around her. If a zombie apocalypse were to happen then this is what it would look like.
Normalcy bias.
Something I didn’t understand from last night is why Tobias and the mom left the school without the canned goods. They went through the effort of getting them. Were they so freaked out about the incident with the principal that they forgot all about them? What’s Tobais going to live on while his parents are out of town?
He finally did attempt a head stab but the knife didn't penetrate. These zombie skulls are a little stronger (less decomposed) than they are on TWD.
I suspect the part that explained this was edited out to make room for a commercial.
Yep, you’re right. Thanks!
Well, following up on my earlier note, I have now seen both the current episodes of FTWD and The Last Ship, and The Last Ship wins again. I find the whole family and their bickering to be tiresome and am rooting for the walkers.
The Last Ship was a nail-biter. It is a good series.
Falling Skies series finale fell flat. Most comments I have read were expressions of disappointment. I sure thought it fell flat, too.
