I've always said Kenny G was the worst thing to ever happen to saxophone. My teacher disagreed. He said anything that could bring more popularity to saxophone was a good thing. He also had a life size cardboard standup of Bill Clinton with sunglasses and saxophone in his studio.
If you want something relaxing, almost meditative, listen to John Coltrane playing 'My Favorite Things'.
