How do these damn “20-somethings” look themselves in the mirror after standing in line for 3 hours to “instagram” some crummy little ice cream thing? Do they really think anyone on earth gives a flying bleeping damn about the insignificant and pointless things they do with their lives? Why do they feel the need to document every little thing they do?
Horrible. The best ice cream is silky and has a high milk fat content. I’ll wait for it too be churned properly.
They have a local chain here called Maggie Moos that does the exact same thing. The one in my neighborhood went out of business. It was way overpriced at about $6-8 per serving, and not very good. My kids thought it was fun to watch them pound out and roll up the ice cream, but they didn’t like it the taste of it in the end. Just give me a good, dense frozen custard or a scoop of pistachio on a waffle cone. Heck, just a small cone from Chic-fil-A for each of the kids and they are happy.
I’ve made homemade ice cream in less than 3 hours.
I’m glad the American public hasn’t lost the ability to keep its mind on something for three hours. Too bad it isn’t about something worthwhile.
It’s New York City: this placed will be close in a year, replaced by some other temporary novelty.
