I'm not a big fan of bicycles. This is probably because I had an annual battle with Pan Mass riders that kept me from getting to work. Yet the powers that b seem to want to discourage car travel in favor of bicycle riding So they don't even require them to go through bureaucratic gymnastics to operate them
I am also not a fan of state inspections of my automobile. I agree with the governor of Mississippi in that it is only a huge scheme to collect more taxes from the driving public.
So I say we make things more fair for the motoring public by requiring the same regulations for bicycle riders that exist for motorists. Make them have annual safety inspections and require a tax sticker on the bicycle. Require registration and licensing for all bicycle riders and above all require bicycle emissions to be tested. The state requires my car have a probe stuck in its tailpipe every year so the state can approve the smell of its exhaust -- the same should be required of all bicycles.
I think this would bring more sanity into the process or at least more courtesy for motorists from the cyclists.
Or just eliminate state inspections for cars.
I moved from a non-inspection state to an inspection on purchase state. That’s really stupid. One time only. Pure cash grab.
I actually had to get rid of one of my cars because the cost of the needless repairs outweighed the value of the car. Stupid stuff.
Yup, you do what the government wants and then the politicians start bitching about “lost revenue” (Like a-hole politicians actually produce anything except jack crap control). Just look at electric cars and fuel efficient hybrids.
Next thing you know they will start installing some privacy destroying device on your vehicle be it an electric car or bike in order to “regain” their precious “lost revenue” so they can blow through that money too.
Pretty much....that's why they all "dress" identically.
Anything after 2006 has those devices you are talking about already installed.
Just out of curiosity, have you ever seen such behavior from a motorist?
are you sure you are on the right site?
Finally, someone gets the point
