Don’t think it’s the phone. I think it’s iOS 8 because my air 2 has experienced similar problems from time to time. That cannot be the case. . . iOS adoption rate is now at above 90% and over 600,000,000 users and very few are reporting problems. It has to be your phone.

I’m having similar problems on my iPad. At this very moment, Safari decided to stop letting me copy words, sentences, and paragraphs. Can’t select a single bit of text except I can copy images.
