I gave up Heinz when John Kerry ran for president and haven’t looked back.
Whattaburger Ketchup is now my brand of choice.

Well, Kerry’s ketchup is as phony as he is.

There’s a similar issue with their US-made tomato juice that cannot be sold in Canada unless it’s called something else. Their US product is reconstituted from tomato paste but here they can only call it “tomato juice” if it’s unreconstituted.

Could this be Israel's revenge for the Iran deal by attacking Sec. of States’ family? John Kerry (a.k.a. “Lurch”), is married to Mrs. Heinz...
It also seems typical of Israeli food giants to try to (no pun intended) “squeeze” out the competitors...
If Osem is pressuring Hienz, I will buy ONLY Hienz now! Companies like OSEM can proudly say that they have been ripping off the Israeli consumer now for more than 70 years and they want to continue doing so!
So, despite the fact that Kerry is related to Hienz, I will buy Hienz over OSEM...

Things must be going well in Israel that they can have bureaucrats wasting their time testing ketchup for tomato solids.
Once I bought a bottle of off brand ketchup that was very runny - I didn't buy it again. Problem solved without any government intervention.
If Israsel is so flush with cash they can piss it away like this maybe we don't need to send them the $3 billion or so a year in foreign aid we borrow from the Chinese to give them.

Heinz ketchup has changed over the years. It’s too full of sugar for my liking.

It's advertising BS, of course ... but notice that you actually have to READ the advertisement? Nobody, today, would put anywhere near that much text in an ad like that.
