Here’s my problem with a lot of physics theories as a physics major many years ago... no one talks about measurement system analysis (gage R&R for manufacturing folks) in any of their papers. Which means that all of their fudge factors may actually be accounted for due to the measurement systems they are using and therefore independent of any real physics driven issues. Show me a paper that talks about their MSA and I’ll back away, until then I’ll keep pushing that they have no proof beyond theories unsupported by hard, HARD, evidence.
When I looked at some of the source papers, gage was mentioned and there was sufficient rigor to blow my mind and assure me that the i's were being dotted and the t's crossed.
