I look at it from the standpoint that the NFL will do anything in their power to buy their way out/defend actual criminals but not spend anything on players that are fixable.
The guy was one of the best in College. He is elementally ‘fixable’.
But the NFL isn’t about football. It’s about agendas. And Tebow does not fit theirs. One need only look to the Sam thing to see the black and white truth of that. That guy had zero talent. And yet the NFL played hardball with owners to put/keep him on the rosters to milk the PR and serve the agenda.
It's about making huge money and bleeding taxpayers for gold plated facilities.
I look at it from the standpoint that it’s a results based business and Tebow’s results aren’t actually any good. You brought up Vinnie Interceptiverdie, do you realize that as bad as Vinnie was his completion percentage is much better than Tebow’s.
Lots of guys who are fantastic in college stink in the NFL. There are 9 Heisman winners in the NFL HOF, that’s it. The games are actually very different.
It’s not an agenda. He’s just not good. Sure look at the Sam thing, he never played a single game of record in the NFL. Sorry but Sam’s total failure proves you’re wrong. If it was agenda driven he’d be a starter in spite of his lack of talent. Nobody played hardball with owners, he was a late 7th round draft pick, a time when teams take chances. And nobody kept him on a roster, he was on the PRACTICE squad for six weeks.
Sorry but reality is rather obvious here. It’s not agenda, it’s talent. Sam stinks and washed out hard. Tebow’s bad, and keeps washing out but his heart keep getting teams to give him a shot. I know the Tebow worshippers just can’t handle the truth, but that is the truth, Tebow is not an NFL caliber QB. Even his performance today shows it, he played mediocre against 3rd and 4th string players, most of the players on the field with him will be lucky to make the practice squad. And that includes him.
Michael Sam was one of College footballs “best” also. SEC Defensive Player of the Year is a pretty big deal. Do you think he was “fixable” too? The NFL sure didn’t. He never even made a roster.
Your argument makes no sense. Tim Tebow had infinite more success than Michael Sam did. Sam got DRAFTED (barely). He never made a roster. There’s a vast difference.
Again, clearly, you’re demonstrating your football knowledge is limited at best.
