The cowardly Iraq who are embedded with our 'advisers' to fight against ISIS would be required to use their finger print as an added security.
When they abandon their vehicles assigned to them and run away or throw down their weapons they would be inoperable.
Of course, tanks and Humvee's are a higher target for ISIS, so other higher security measures would have to implemented. The drivers would be required to push the prominent red button fingerprint identifier to start the vehicles.
Once the embedded Iraqis abandon the vehicles, and they have and will again, any ISIS member who pushes that red button labeled in Arabic START, will instantly be transported to their seventy two, ugly as hell, virgins.
The word will spread around ISIS real fast
I don't know if that could happen to hand held weapons but one can only hope it that it could.
What happens when the operator is wounded and evacuated, or is KIA. Replacements can’t immediately man the weapon system, they have to wait for some logistics dude to show up and scan your fingerprint. I don’t think so.
That will get our guys killed left and right.
I got a better idea. How about we stop leaving our stuff where anybody who can muster a few hundred jihadis at a single point can steal it?
Use bacon grease to clean your guns and advertise it.
By killing lots of them?
So every weapon and weapon system would have to have a complete catalogue of all active US service personel’s fingerprints?
FAIL.
No, you hunt them down and kill them, you stupid liberal.
Bomb their oil fields. Now.
Indeed it is, kill them. Dead Islamists don't hurt anyone.
Bring out the napalm and fry every ISIS follower and pervert.
Dude, stick to the signs. That kindof chit is for "utopian" non-thinkers and gets the wrong folks killed.
In the heat of battle, you don't have time to position your finger JUST SO.
In the heat of battle, Private A might need to use Private B's HMMV.
In the heat of battle, suppose your hand is blown off?
In the heat of battle, suppose the operating system on that computer freezes?
BAD bad idea.
A while ago a Scope company got in trouble for using Biblical Scripture Notations in their serial numbers ... I say we mark everything with a scripture notation ... In addition, every munition must be embedded with small metallic flakes that are inscribed with the same type of biblical inscription. In this way if they use our bombs bullets or vehicles, they are proselytizing by spreading the message.
No. Just no.
I want to thank everyone for their comments. My point was that OUR guys are never allowed to get to the battle field or occupy those destructive vehicles so we HAVE to let, by 0’s directive, the weak an cowardly Iraqis do it for us.
I’m just surprised that there are so many FReepers seems to have missed that point.
Have a great weekend and let’s all cheer on 0’s drones to keep our troops safe.
One speck of dust gets on it and you just killed a soldier.
I can see a couple of problems with fingerprint scanners. The first would be that they get dirty and are no longer able to read anyone’s prints, and the second would be if the intended user should cut his finger, it might effect the way it is read.
Cut off a hand or finger and you have access. Stupid idea.
