Armie Hammer has given several of the worst performances in recent years see, or rather dont, Mirror Mirror and J. Edgar. The big surprise in The Man from U.N.C.L.E is that Henry Cavill is even worse.
Much worse: Cavill gives the most slappable performance of the year as Napoleon Solo, a CIA agent who, in 1963 Europe, is forced to work with Russian counterpart Illya Kuryakin (Hammer) to help the daughter (Alicia Vikander) of a German atomic scientist stop neo-Nazis from acquiring the Bomb.

Yes, they are damn fine ;P
Wife and I saw the movie tonight. She liked it more than me, but then she had two hunks to look at. I would rate the movie as a C-, but not necessarily based on the acting but the script. Attempts to inject humor were pitiful and ruined what could have been a good action scene. Throughout the movie I disliked the music and thought much of it was unnecessary. And, during what should have been a major fight scene, they went to a quad screen that made following the action almost impossible. Yes it entertains and I recommend it over some of these pre-season football games which seem to have a PC agenda (which I predict will usher in the end of football as we know it). If you go, just don’t hold your expectations too high.
Drat ! You stole my response. First thing that popped into my head when I saw the pics... :-P
The Miami Vice film was just awful. No resemblance whatsoever to the series or what made it great.
Great minds think alike, apparently.
...and so do ours!
