Problem solved!
Yep. Alas the original actors are a bit long in the tooth to recreate the original.
I love Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger. I own it on DVD and have watched it numerous times. I wish they’d make a sequel.
You must be lonely as the only member of the fan club?
Well, no one under 40 even know the old TV show. I don’t know who they thought they were making this for.
I hated that they made it a stupid comedy.
LOL
I hate Tom Cruise for ruining it for me. The IMF was never a government agency and in the first movie they had Jim Phelps selling secrets for about $12 million? Really? Jim Phelps was independently wealthy.
Just another action genre now.
The only one that has worked, outside of sci-fi, Star Trek, is Mission Impossible.
If I have read the reviews and story line right they scrapped the UNCLE theme and made them part of the CIA and KGB. They destroyed the entire premise of the TV show.
Henry was in the mini-series, The Tudors, and I think he’s hot.
He looks like a man, talks like a man and acts like a man.
He’s much more masculine than the Nancy boy who played Henry and fruits like Cruise and Pitt.
I would like Henry to be the next Bond.
Actually,Hammer was great in the Social Network and Cavill was great in the Tudors.
So did the Ecclesiastic Patriarch of Povia.
The appeal of the Mission Impossible TV show was the smarts of if. The careful planning, disguises, etc. It may have gotten hokey at times but it was not the derring do that you tuned in for. Now all you get is Tom Cruise running around like Superman.
I think I read somewhere that he tried out for the part, but wasn’t chosen.
Too bad.
The Equalizer with Demzell...kept the spirit of the TV show alive with some really good bad-ass action. Just like the original McCall, Demzell’s version always stayed one step ahead. I hope they make a sequel!
“I was in love with David McCallum back then.”
Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m still in love with him. I see him on NCIS and I think, gee I wish I had grown old with that guy {sigh!}
“becasue hes glad it has a comprehendable plot.”
“That alone would to me make it worth seeing.”
Yeah, they should try that with TV shows too.
I’m always telling hubby, I have no idea what is going on with this show!
I think the worst was Sons of Anarchy, and they’d give some many important, expository lines to that guy who had that impenetrable Scottish accent!
I’m no. Actually my whole family loved it too. We’ve watched our DVD many times.
