Actually I think human beings will always compete with each other about something, and so attempts to make us manageable with PC “hive mind” is doomed because it only changes what we compete about and turns that competition from seeking beneficial ends to seeking a mean which will have the effect of leaving us squabbling over increasingly petty stuff while the next challenging circumstance sneaks up and overwhelms us!
