Somehow the pot induced scene with Jack Nicholson from EASY RIDER comes to mind.
I met two of the men who walked on the moon (Shepard in 74 and Duke last year) and neither one mentioned this to me.
Okay. Thanks.
I no I don't.
Next they show up as “Christ/Buddah/etc” ?
What you see as you savior they will be. Even Allah.
If he believes that aliens from outer space has brought peace to the earth, he is still a little more than half bubble off about religion.
” Real stuff. Like walking on the Moon. Or rescuing horses.”
I do not get how walking on the moon and rescuing horses relate. These seem to be worlds apart to me. How is one like the other? Rescuing horses advances mankind? How?
Well, for starters, caring for animals develops a compassionate side of human nature that doesn’t show in others, such as random people you come across on the internet (hint).
You are quite the model of compassion, rudeboy.
Thanks for the response.
Same here. I met with Harrison (Jack) Schmitt back in ‘96. As far as I know, he has never mentioned anything about this. As a scientist and scholar, Schmitt would be the one to know.
Ed Mitchell was also a scientist (Sc.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics), but has always tended towards the mystical side of things. I worked with a lady who knew Mitchell from his work on the Institute of Noetic Sciences. He feels very strongly that ETs and UFOs exist but admits much of what he expresses is simply speculation. Given that, I’m inclined to cut him some slack.
Only for the suffering. If it is self-inflicted, then I run out of gas.
Neil is reported to have said that several craft were present on a crater rim when he set foot on the moon. Don’t know if this is true, but Neil left other and various hints, but beyond that said little.
“Alzheimers”
He is 84, but have had odd opinions of reality for many years, see http://uk.askmen.com/entertainment/right-stuff/ed-mitchell-interview.html
Houston, we have a problem. Lack of oxygen to the brain.
Those are two of them. An old man I once new worked with SAC all of his career, and hinted they had many more ideas floating around.
Biggest problem seems have been cost per pound of payload. At some point, having a large number of armed and manned platforms in space was not cost effective.
Ah yes, Gary Seven and Isis the cat. They will help save earth, protect us from ourselves.
“Who needs editors?’’ Write?
He and his beliefs are featured in a book about the conjurer with “supernatural powers,” Uri Geller. Mitchell was one of his acolytes, apparently.
