I was trying to figure out how resistors could be made to hold a large charge.

I design in supercapacitors (actually, they're called electric double-layer capacitors) in my company's products.
They can put out many, many amps for short periods of time.
I've been wondering when they would be combined with Lithium or LiPoFe batteries to create a replacement for a car battery.
This is a good development.

Im sure it would run the 1500 watt inverter and the 12000lb winch in my Jeep just fine. Ill stick to my Optima yellow top. Yeah, it's not designed for heavy loads for minutes or hours at a time. You will need a lead-acid battery to run that winch.

GOD HATES FAGGY 6 POUND “BATTERIES” THAT WILL NOT START A CUMMINS DIESEL AT 33 DEGREES BELOW ZERO.

a survey of people not buying the Ohm will be a measure of resistance

What is the amp hour rating, cold cranking amps, sustained cranking ability, ability to run accessories, etc..
To: Red Badger
Great a battery that shuts its self off causing your ECM to have to rerun readiness tests.
To: Red Badger
This is a good idea. A battery’s main purpose is to start the car. Then there is enough energy to run the radio, lights, computer, etc. This appears to be superior to lead/acid in that respect.

The site says to "remove the positive and negative leads from your old battery, drop in Ohm, and reattach the lead to Ohm (red/positive lead first to prevent sparking)." Negative first off , negative last on. Safety reasons.

They should have named it “ONE SHOT.” For, you only get one shot at starting your car and then you are SCREWED!
Another “benefit” of having this piece of crap is that if your alternator stops generating you aren’t going far down the road. If it happens at night you are really, really SCREWED!
