City leaders in Boston, Cambridge and Everett are saying enough is enough after an otherwise beautiful summer night Wednesday was marred by gun violence that claimed five lives and left cops bracing for retaliatory bloodshed.
We are a better city than this, an exasperated Mayor Martin J. Walsh said yesterday, hours after the city was hit by two shootings in a span of five minutes that left three young men dead one of them the nephew of a Boston
police officer.

Yep, its nice to hear the mayor of a town state that he is against crime in his town. Amazing statement. I take it from your comment that you are not familiar with Everett.
To: Lonesome in Massachussets
No I am not familiar with Everett. I was just making a general flippant comment, thinking that no mayor anywhere will want crime in his town.

We need more Gun Control!
We are LIBERALS, this doesn’t happen in our city!!!

I was just making a general flippant comment, thinking that no mayor anywhere will want crime in his town. Then you are definitely not familiar with Lawrence.

You asked: "Why do you suppose that is?"
Do you mean why Anchorage or why the trouble is with drunks, stoners and auto accidents? I can answer the first question, I think.

The Everett Police Department and I would like to reiterate our strong opposition to crime in Everett."Actually, the police department likes crime. Otherwise they have no reason to exist.

Mafia style mob wars.
A good example of how our culture was “enriched” by Italian immigrants.

Indeed. Plenty of KIAs. Might not be possible to improve on that. Even with more range time.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the big city liberals like to call the old west, “the gun toting old west”. The hippies need to clean up their own backyard. We’ve got this handled out here.

Hey! My wife resembles that remark. Our town is full of them and we don’t have much crime either.

Just get them to admit that. Actually, I live in a more or less crime free town. We don’t even have speed traps. The police exist to keep the state police out.

We cant police ourselves out of this, Walsh said. Were not going to start pulling over every young person to see if they have a gun on them ... This needs to stop.
...
Yes, you can. Stop and frisk works, and it’s been upheld by the courts.
But I can’t blame the police for standing down. With the environment Obama has created, looking at one of his children the wrong way can ruin your life.

There are two main ways to get to Alaska from CONUS. You can fly or you can take the Alaska Highway through Canada. You need real ID to get on an airliner. You need real ID to get through the Canadian border and non-US citizens who say they are traveling to Alaska might get major scrutiny. You need real ID again to cross over into Alaska and non-Canadian non-US citizens might have some trouble there too.
Alaska is therefore spared from the main effects of the illegal alien invasion.
As for the rest, really long days in the summer and not much sunshime in the winter drives some to seek an alternative reality.
