"OK, so we give legalization to the 20 million or so illegals here today. Then they 'come out of the shadows and move more fully into our economy'. What about the next batch? What about the 20 million new illegals who take their place? Do they get legalization also? If not, why not? If the current illegals batch is good for America, good for me and my family, why aren't future batches?
That was always my point: a lot of illegals are good workers. If they are legal they are going to go get better jobs. That leaves who doing the jobs Americans don’t want?
Then consider Chain Migration allowed under law ... allows sponsoring of blood relatives to become applicants for a green card then citizenship...
Do the math over 20-30-40 years...
We've already tried it and it hasn't worked out so well---they just keep coming in ever greater numbers.
