Each day I become more and more sure that we need to coalesce soon behind one candidate. For me that candidate is Trump.
Sure, we need to get through a couple primaries, and all the articles and pundits out there who try and drive him off course, but one thing is for sure. The more I hear him speak, the more I like what I hear.
WE don't need specifics at this point. Most of the electorate, informed or uninformed, needs to hear goals, i.e. the final outcome.
I want to hear the generalities, about making this country great again, and us feeling good about ourselves again. About strengthening our military, improving our economy, lowering taxes.
I went through the God awful Carter years as a young man, and malaise now is ten times worse than it was then.
Trump has a book out on this!!!!! He needs to be heard.
HE was in Michigan last night. Every line spoken was music to our weary tired ears, that have heard nothing, but Obama nonsense day after day after day after.
Contrast this with what we hear from Hillary. The more you hear from her, the more you scratch your head disliking her.
I CANNOT IMAGINE THIS LADY AS OUR PRESIDENT. IT CANNOT HAPPEN.
BUT HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE:
I think Trump needs to come out at some time soon, hopefully tonight, and declare that he is NOT going to run as a third party guy.
THEN WE COALESCE BEHIND HIM. AND IF HE HAS THE GOOD SENSE TO INCLUDE THE CURRENT FIELD INTO HIS ADMINISTRATION...MAYBE EVEN ANNOUNCE CRUZ OR CARSON ETC AS A RUNNING MATE, THEN NO ONE CAN BEAT US.
He does that, and it will go a long way, in my mind and for many others, to tell us he is serious. I then see him attracting all people from all political, ethnic, social etc backgrounds.
Anyway, that's my two cents worth this morning.

I do believe Trump would not be afraid to do alot of the things necessary
Like open investigations on previous administrative criminal activity.
As a CEO I believe economically he could turn this nation around.
And last but not least he WILL fight back!!!!
Trump would win as a third party. I know a ton of Democrats that will vote for him and it appears a lot of minorities seem to approve also. Bottom line people have had it with the Democrats and the Republicans. We have a Republican house and senate and LOOK at the deficit and the cowards we have in their now. Trump is very similar to Reagan at this stage.

I would like Trump more if I also supported government-run health care, amnesty, not defunding Planned Parenthood, donating to Democrats & the Clinton Foundation, eminent domain, and liberalism in general.

Here I thought the purpose of the primary was to vote for the guy you liked best, and whoever gets the most votes wins.
For weeks now (aw heck, for YEARS now) so much of what I’ve been seeing in primaries is “you gotta vote for this guy” or “you gotta NOT vote for this guy.”
I don’t gotta nothin’, except pick the guy I like. :)

They can’t take down Cruz. Cruz can explain himself and can relay an inpenetrable defense of conservatism. Cruz also doesn’t have a closet full of skeletons. Cruz will turn this campaign on a debate of ideas, which he’ll win, not a cult of personality, which Trump will lose because more people hate him than like him.
For me, it’s Cruz.

I won’t be a Trump chump and stump for Trump. Trump is a CINO (conservative in name only); he’s Jeb Bush on steroids.
Or you could vote for a real conservative (Cruz) instead of a 4 month conservative, who’s only electoral claim to fame is that he is an obnoxious, loud-mouthed New Yawkuh.

No. It is too early. I am not picking any candidate yet. I do have front runners and I have a list of candidates that I will not support, with Jeb, Lindsey, lard-ass and Carly currently on the list. I am using a process of elimination to choose my favorite candidate. I am very jaded and I probably need to change that about myself. I have a feeling I will not even like the candidate of my choice.
